Strictly Amateur but addicted to jewelry making!

Hi, I have been checking out this group and have decided to join, if I may. I am truely addicted to jewelry making, although strictly amateur. I have never had an art class of any kind. Maybe someday. I am up to trying my hand at most any kind of art form. I have dabbled in sketching and in oils, flower arranging and wreath making (I always do my own and a few for others), sewing, painting ceramics and glass, photography and card making, and cake decorating (baking and selling cookies, pies, cakes and even wedding cakes). Right now I am into beading jewelry and hope to be setting stones and wire wrapping soon. I truely admire those of you who can do such beautiful wire wrapping and creating your own glass pieces of art! I can only purchase your visions. :)  So I'm looking forward to meeting more talented artists in this group. Hope everyone is having a great day! :) Donna

Hi, my name is Sharon and I am an Artisan/Jewelry Designer.

Sounds like I am at an AA meeting!  Anyway, I love, love, love jewelry and always have.  Started designing my own when I was in high school and after 35 years of working in the legal industry I started my own business designing and marketing my own jewelry.

I have websites on Etsy [jewelrytreschic.etsy.com], Artifire [TresChicDesigns.artifire, com] and Bonanzle.  I have sold my jewelry in the past to upper class boutiques, and one retail chain.  Have also sold at gemshows, craft fairs, regular customers, and anywhere someone is interested.  I consider myself to be an artisan.  I, too, have done more than just jewelry.  I have made all sorts of things over the years in addition to jewelry,  fabric dolls, Christmas wreaths, Christmas ornaments, decorative wreaths for all occasions, made floral arrangements, decorated entire weddings for friends, helped friends pick out interior designing articles.  My sisters (3) all said I missed my "calling" but at the time I had two children to support and no child support!  So, we go where we know we will get a steady paycheck.  Now, I am loving what I do and have no regrets!

Hope to make some new friends here.  Have made lots of friends on Etsy and totally love that website.  But, as the economy kicks us in the wallet, most of us have to branch out a bit.  Please visit me.  Check out my photos, ask to be my friend (please) and thank you for allowing me to share with each of you.

    Sharon
